After some time, we finally found time to write a few words regarding the current events in the office.
Damir and Nedzad from the MC team have left for their traineeships and are currently undergoing their internships in Slovenia and Germany. Good luck to them. Looking forward to having the 1st produced @ XP-ers in the office.

In the mean time, the rest of the MC and Local committee have been working on creating a new Career Days project for 2006. With Kenan (the OC President) heading the team, we are confident CD 2006 will be a full success. Can't wait for it to start.
It will take place from 29th till the 31st of March in Sarajevo starting in UNITIC (official opening) and then the formal fair will be at THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS in Sarajevo and the closing on the 31st will take place in the famous BUSINESS CLUB in Holiday Inn hotel in Sarajevo with a huge party for everyone.

Happy New Year everyone!
With all the holidays inline, we have been trying to work as much as possible and with the exams coming up this is the most critical time for all our members.
Nevertheless, we have been able to organize the local and National conferences in 2 weeks and we must say it was a complete success.

It is our honor to announce that the new Member Committee team of AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2006/2007 has been elected on the 5^th January 2006. in Mostar.

The elected members are:

Ajdin Hrbat MC Vice President Marketing & Branding

Nina Gavranic MC VP for Outgoing Exchange

Iris Burek MC VP for People Development

Eldina Velic MC VP for Project Planning

Emina Klapuh MC VP for Human Resources

The Member Committee President has not been elected yet because we have opened international applications for all interested AIESECers round the world.

For the first time ever, we have taken the BIG leap and decided that we should get an international President. Someone who is ambitious, ready for a challenge, someone who has been in AIESEC for a while and ready to implement AIESEC experience in a country with 2 local committees (one of them being one of the oldest in the world).

The application close on the 30^th of January 2006. and they can be found on the file storage of our aiesec.net community (AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina). So if you or someone you might know is interested… give us a shout.

During this national assembly we are very proud to say that Local Committee Mostar has also been reopened after years and year of preparation.

Mostar’s committee was closed down in 1999. and now 6 years later opened again. Congratulation to you guys. We honestly hope you guys continue working hard and do your best during the next term and many many more years. We believe in you.

Local Committee Elections 17.12.2005. Sarajevo

Dear all...

it's almost the end of the year. We have been very busy. In the last one month we have organized the motivational seminar, three AIESEC parties, the Local committee elections and are slowly preparing for the the National Conference which will take place in Mostar on the 5th of January.

We have been very busy as usual, training the 'older' members for the MC elections and going through various sessions with them. Nedzad and Merima have moderated the Local Assembly in Sarajevo where a new LC executive board was elected. 2 LC elections were held at the same time in Mostar and Sarajevo.
Congratulatons to Senad, Sedina, Ajla, Mirza, Edis, Merima and Arslan from Sarajevo and Stefica, Josipa, Marijana, Jozo, Martina, Doris and Toni from Mostar..
Damir has been working together with the new EB team on team building and planning for the next term.

We have also opened applications for the Member Committee of AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina and for the first time in history made a huge move and decided to open international applications.
This is a very big thing for us and we also believe for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The applications deadline is 15.1.2006.
This means the new MCP will not be elected during the National Conference but later, some time before International Presidents Meeting (IPM 2006) in The Netherlands.

MC's got a new office

Hello again, it's so wonderful to bring good news...

Today one of our MC members, Damir negotiatied (very successfully) a new office at our Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo.

Congratulations for this, well done. The office is about 4 times bigger than the last one. We are supposed to move in at the end of this month, so this will be a perfect new years present for us all.
We will post pictures as soon as we move in.

During Sarka's last week in Sarajevo, we had the priviledge of hosting another MC trainee, Cindy from USA who is originally from Vietnam.
She is working in a secondary school teaching children IT. Cindy will be in Sarajevo for almost seven months, chilling out with the MC and drinking the world famous Bosnian coffee with us...
Anyways...
the first week she came she had an article in the national magazine about her :) she had become popular already...

Hello again,

After a great day spent in Mostar, the MC team has finished their LC visit for this month. MC team spent the whole day organizing the national conference together with the Local Committee Mostar.

We also used this opportunity to promote POR(Pravilnik o Radu), our internal working acts to the members in Mostar and give them some organizational tips.

This year due to lack of time and exams all our members have (because of the new educational system), we made a bold decision to change the concept of our national conference.

We decided to make elections for LC Sarajevo and LC Mostar on the 17th of December. This means that all the member candidates will present their plans infront of their own LC members in their own cities. On the 17th December, members from these 2 LCs will separatelly vote for their own candidates and announce the new Local Committee Executive Board structures for 2006/2007.

On the 5th January 2006, we will have the national conference in Mostar but this meeting will be a one-day conference for all the members of AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During this day, the LCs will be able to listen to MC candidates and vote for the new MCEB structure for 2006/2007.
Also during this day we will (hopefully) officially open LC Mostar and discuss topics related to our Internal Workig Acts (POR) for both LCs and the MCs.

As for our recient activities. We have already issued applications for LC and MC members. The LC application deadline is the 15th and the MC deadline is the 30th of December 2005 at 23:00.

The Organizing Committee (OC) applications are out during the next few days..

On Wednesday, the new LC members had prepared a nice surprise for the old members of both LC SA, LC MO and the MC team. They reserved the Buddha Bar - one of the funkiest bars in town to organize an AIESEC party in Black.
This was only for AIESEC members and our alumni. We have to admit the party was a huge success, as for pictures and additional info please visit the INFOBAR.BA sight one of our alumni is running - the hottest web site around.

During the next few days our alumni are also planning a party for us, so we will let you know where it is and you can pop by.

Hi everyone,
This month had been another crazy one. After the MMS conclusion and one of our dear trainees leaving we are finally opening applications for the local and member committee inBosnia and Herzegovina.
We had a whole week of interviews with the new members and have to admit that this year we have high potential people we believe can take on the leadership roles and make AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina better than ever.
Our national conference is at the beginning of January and we are looking forward to recieving applications and voting for the next presidents and vice presidents who will lead AIESEC in our country.

The MC team is off to Mostar tomorrow for an LC visit and to help in organizing the national conference in Mostar. We will keep you posted on what our friends from Mostar are doing.

Hello everyone...
Our trainee from Check Republic, Sarka Opletalova who worked in OMV Istrabenz for the last 2 months is leaving tonight.
Sarka is a cool girl, a fun person to be with and a great friend who helped us during the Member Motivational Seminar and was one of the facillitators there.
We are all very sad she is leaving...

Member Motivation Seminar 2005, Jahorina

Dear all...

Another MMS has passed, 3rd one these MC members have been organizing and we can surely say, the BEST one yet.
We had 80 delegates, new members and old ones, a great Organizing Committee with our MC VP for projects in charge of the OC, a fantastic FACI team (the MC team (Merima, Damir and Nedzad) together with Sarka - our trainee who was the LCP of Prague, Ajda - the chair of the seminar who was the MCP of Bulgaria and currently on the national training team of Turkey, Jasmin - project coordinator for GTZ in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Amil - AIESEC alumni who is a freelance consultant right now). The team was excellent, the organization was great.

We had 3 amazing days in Jahorina, olympic mountain near Sarajevo, spreading AIESEC energy and spirit, holding sessions and motivating our members.

Busy month for all of us

It has been a very very busy month. There was a conference (EuroCo 2005) for LCPs and we sent Berina, the local committee president of Sarajevo to Makarska in Croatia. Merima, our MCP joined her a few days later to participate in the MCPs meeting. While they were having a great time in Makarska the other MC members worked thier arses off on the new project... the one and only... our annual Member Motivational Seminar. YUUUUUUUUPIII!!!
It's being held from 18th till the 20th of November.
In the mean time Mike from AIESEC International came for a country visit on his tour around 15 countries and held sessions for an amazing two days. It was very productive and this has been our first AI visit since 2001.
We hope Mike liked Sarajevo and enjoyed spending time in this gorgeous country.
Anyways, back to work.
We have Bayram next week (the Muslim holiday which means the end of Ramdan) and 4-day holidays. We have a new trainee coming in next week from the States and joining Sarka from Check republic who has been here for 1 month.
Damir (our MCVP for Projects) is leaving after MMS and going on a traineeship to Slovenia (Damir good luck! We are very proud of you).
The rest of the Member Committee is still searching for traineeships.

AIESEC and Faculty anniversary

On friday we had our faculty anniversary, this was also the anniversary of AIESECs existance at this institution. We are officially 52 years old. Wow!
Our MC though is officially 12 years old. You might wonder how. Well, our LC was established as a part of the Yugoslavian MC which included all the ex Yu countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Serbia and Montenegro. Today those 5 countries are 5 different MCs and MC of Bosnia and Herzegovina was created in 1993.
This is a picture with our professor of Business Law and the current vice dean for finances at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, the biggest AIESEC partner in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Hello everyone..
The Member Committee team of AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina has finally decided to make a blog of its own where we will be posting all the events in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the news from our MC office here in Sarajevo.

A quick introduction. We are three passionate individuals who are very different in every single way. We have known each other for a long time and have been working together for almost three years. We are all students of economics and study in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina where our MC office is stationed.

The leader of the team is Merima, the current president of AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Damir is the vice president for all the projects AIESEC implements in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in charge of expansion of local committees and Nedzad is the vice president for learning and human resources. We are all perfectionists so it's quite easy to work together. We are half way through our term and can't wait for the rest of it. It has been an amazing and challenging experience so far.

Hope you will enjoy our stories as we enjoy sharing them with you.

PS Last friday we had our first MC visit to a new LC in Mostar, one of the most beautiful cities in our country. We are having a lot of success at the beginning and hoping the good luck with the new members follows us all the way to opening this new AIESEC local committee which was closed down in 1999.
